Mellow did not arrive fully formed. It grew from years of teaching, dancing, listening, and asking a question that would not let us go: what if dance could be more than performance? What if it could be presence? What follows is the answer we found.
Natalia Darabán grew up around dance. Her mother, a Kizomba teacher in Madrid, planted the seed early. But it was not until she discovered what dance could do to a room, and to a person, that she understood why. Romanian and Spanish, from the new generation of conscious movement, Natalia has spent five years developing a teaching presence that is quietly extraordinary. She has a gift for creating safety. For making students feel held, guided, and brave enough to try. In Mellow, she brings the energy that makes the philosophy real: warm, patient, deeply present, and genuinely invested in every person she teaches.
Together, they built something neither of them could have built alone. Mellow is the result of two people with different backgrounds, different temperaments, and one shared belief: that dance, when it is honest, changes people. Through the Mellow Program, the weekly Tribe Lives, and the Teacher Training, they are sharing that belief with a growing global community. Not as instructors from a stage. As guides on the same path. This is their life’s work. And it is always becoming more.

Mellow is more than a dance style. It is a practice of presence. A way of listening. A reminder that when you slow down enough to truly connect, with yourself, with the music, with another person, something shifts. In the dance. And beyond it. Melt & Flow.
